Thank
you for visiting our website on vocations. Today, we gather information in many
different ways and "surfing the net" is a very convenient mode of communication.
From the comfort of your school, home, or workplace, you can discover more about
ministry in the Church. This website is designed as just another way of sharing
the invitation to service. I hope the accessibly of this information is helpful
to you and as well as a benefit to our local Church.
The Vocation Office is here to help spread the word that serving God's people is
an excellent way to follow the example of Jesus, who gave his life for us. You
will find here information about how to serve, how to promote vocation, how to
make that message of loving service more tangible in your life and in the life
of the Church.
You may want to look for information about how you can take the next step in
discerning a vocation. You may want to find information about how you, or your
parish organization, can promote vocations, or you simply may be interested in
learning more about ministry in our Diocese. I hope your visit will bear fruit!
The website is always on and my office door is always open, so call to meet if
you want to talk about your vocation. You also may want to talk to the Vocation
Coordinator in your area since he is the local contact for vocation information.
God may be calling you and there's no better way to find out than asking! The
Church needs your prayers, your interest, and the Church needs your witness of
service!
Sincerely in Christ,
Rev. Douglas Lucia
Vocation Director
